Netflix's live-action take on the iconic Japanese mecha franchise began principal photography on April 20, 2026 at Village Roadshow Studios on Australia's Gold Coast, per Variety. Sweeney stars opposite Noah Centineo in an original story set amid a sprawling space war, with Jason Isaacs, Shioli Kutsuna, Michael Mando and Nonso Anozie in the cast. The Housemaid's Secret — December 17, 2027

Jon M. Chu directs the adaptation of Hazelight's hit co-op video game, from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Sweeney is attached to star and executive-produce, with Amazon MGM having won the rights in 2025. Which of the two leads — sci-fi writer Mio or fantasy writer Zoe — she plays hasn't been announced.

That Man From Rio

Justin Lin directs this Apple remake of Philippe de Broca's 1964 French adventure classic — a stated inspiration for Indiana Jones. Sweeney stars and executive-produces. Announced October 2025; still in development.
